NABIRE | Rumors spread regarding the Regional Defense Commander (RDC III) Ndugama Drakma Egianus Kogoya asking for a sum of 5 billion to ransom the release of Pilot Philips Marthenz some time ago.
Responding to this statement, Egianus denied that he had ever asked for such a large ransom.
All the media is a hoax. I have never asked for money, I asked for an independent Papua. After Papua becomes independent, I will release the pilot that we are holding captive,” said Egianus via his 02-minute video recording at his headquarters on Friday (07/07/23).
Apart from that, Egianus stated, he had never met or even established communication with army of Indonesian authorities, either face to face or via cell phone.
“Once again I say to the people of the whole world and Indonesia, that I have never been tempted by such and such an offer. I only want Papua to become independent soon. Close egianus. (red)
